Delta Circini (d Cir), is a star located in the constellation Circinus. Delta Circini is also known as HR 5664, and HD 135240. Delta Circini is a binary system. The system is located at Right Ascension 15h 16m 57s and Declination -60 deg 57 arcmin 27 arcsec. The system has a combined apparent visual magnitude of +5.09, and is located at a distance of 1.958 kpc (6388 ly) from the Sun. Delta Circini A is one of the more luminious stars in the galaxy. The star is an O8.5V dwarf star with an effective temperature of 35000 Kelvin. It has an apparent visual magnitude +5.1, an absolute magnitude of -6.42 and a mass of 21 solar masses. Delta Circini A is an ellipsoidal variable star. Delta Circini B, also known as CD 605539B, is a white dwarf companion to A. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +13.5.
